The Tector-class exists because the builders accidentally built over the hanger, covering it.Although its firepower was stronger it was rarely seen or used due to it needing dedicated carriers to support it with fighters as it had no point defense. The Tector Class star destroy was based off of the ISD-I however it replaced its Hangar bay with additional armor and internal reactor space allowing it to have stronger shielding and guns then even a ISD-II. Overall, the Tector is a great ship, it may lack in certain places, but if used correctly it is very powerful. So, if you make it to enemy lines, you should try attacking carriers and missile ships quickly. Carriers and missiles can be a threat too.

If you want to survive, you should stick at mid to long ranges where you can take full effect of your arsenal.

Do remember that your health is great but your mobility is lacking. If you want to brawl or snipe its your choice, I would suggest sniping as most of your arsenal are consisted of heavy weaponry giving you great range and letting you attack at most distances. The Tector-class has a great arsenal of weapons for a Tier III. One notable Tector-class, the Harbinger, would participate at the Battle of Endor alongside many other Imperial vessels in the defense of the Second Death Star.

In lore, the Tector-class played the many roles in the Imperial Navy from providing ground support though Interplanetary bombardment to defending star systems. The Tector-class Star Destroyer is based off of the Imperial I-class Star Destroyer, however its bottom hangar bay is replaced with additional armor and an internal reactor space giving it stronger shielding and turrets. The Tector-class Star Destroyer is a Tier III capital ship from the Galactic Empire in Star Wars.
